Cone Installation Info
How to ship lower unit
Put in a sturdy cardboard box.
Pack with lots of cardboard
and paper.
Put heavy pieces of cardboard under skeg.
You may let shaft stick out of box and wrap it with foam or bubble wrap.
Please include packing list with your instructions, name,
return address and day time telephone number.
Also, call us the day you ship so we can be looking for your unit. We also suggest that you insure a full lower unit for $4,000.00 and an empty housing for $1000.00

below is Example of Factory Installation by Bob's Machine Shop, Inc.
The
customer can send unit completely assembled (any kind; Merc, Yamaha, Johnson,
Evinrude, Mariner and Etc.) gears do not have to be removed, unless they
prefer sending empty housing either way the units are U.P.S. shippable.
We need unit for 7 to 10 working days upon receipt of the lower unit
Upon arrival all gear cases are marked and dated with customer's ID# to
assure proper identity.
We
will then sand blast gearcase.
We
will then center line nose cone to prop shaft, welding nose cone in place
while being held in a fixture to assure proper alignment.
We
then blend the nose cone into the unit using epoxy fillers and finish
to the proper contour and shape using air files, D.A. Grinders and so
forth.
Then
we prepare the case to be painted with an etching primer and then a sealer
primer and then to a finish paint.
Now
we reassemble the unit putting stainless steel hoses on to complete job
and ship in 7-10 business days, after receipt.
